Chris! The most concise explanation of our exercise of reading the the Bible I’ve yet heard! Thank you, brother!
Thanks Sue, wow!
Seriously, Lazo! You lay it out, so anyone can understand, while digging deep. I don’t know how you do it! Thanks for the video
Right on Jenny. Glad it helps!
Are you familiar with the works of Alfred Edersheim? Particularly, “The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah?” I have read bits and pieces, but the bits and pieces have been golden nuggets.
Jake,
Yes! We carry a few of his exegetical books!
Which ones? I’ve only seen “Life and Times” and his book about the Temple, which is the one I have. I didn’t know there were more.
Anyway, the more and more I research the Hebrew tradition the more rich the ministry of Christ becomes, especially as it relates to eschatology. I’d love to hear your opinions on the matter.
I think he has over a dozen books. The ones we carry are Sketches of a Jewish Social Life, Bible History OT, and The Temple.
I completely agree with you, Jake. There is no New Testament without the Old. God chose to reveal the unfolding of his redemptive plan in the context of the Hebrews. The NT comes to life when the Hebrew background is understood!
Excellent way to describe the Jews’ Torah, Brother! I thoroughly enjoyed the video! (I felt like I was looking at Dad. Wow, you look so much like him back in the day!) xoxo
Jenn
Thanks Jenn!
